Brian Spence, BS
“I'm Passionate About Accuracy in Building Information Modeling.”
At BS3D, Brian diligently applies his over thirty years of experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.
He began in the early days of CAD drafting with A&E firms, customizing AutoCAD with LISP programming, custom menus, and company-specific content to enhance user experience and efficiency—his primary goal from the start.
With the early adoption of Building Information Modeling (BIM) using Revit, he continued to focus on optimizing workflows and improving efficiency. Before the widespread availability of Revit tutorials online, Brian navigated the steep learning curve independently. He quickly began customizing the software and teaching Revit to design professionals with varying levels of CAD and BIM experience.
Throughout, Brian has been “in the trenches” modeling a wide variety of architectural projects and coordinating with owners and engineering consultants. In addition to his expertise in BIM, he also managed company IT infrastructure, including domain and Exchange servers, ensuring seamless operations and user support.​​​​
